Recycle & Reuse

Yup, I’m here to tell you if you are like me you have more clothes, fabric and papers than you can possibly use in a lifetime. Well another piece of great news is if you are here, you probably are a crafty creative soul.

I LOVE!! Read that loud I LOVE to recycle. Nothing makes my day like taking what once old and seen as “trash” and turning it into treasure!! I love the shock factor when you take a cardboard amazon package and make it into a book etc. It also mean we are keeping it from the landfills and that also brings me great pleasure. So this little book I am sharing in today’s video actually started it’s life with me as a shirt. Yup, It was a uniform shirt, then when that time came when mask were the new fashion accessory, I thought oh even I can sew a mask…. Ya’LL that is a NO!! So after my failed attempt, I tore this mask apart and it became the base of this book. Then I purchased a cutter quilt lot and got to work on patching working, ALL recycled materials to create this book. You can absolutely use junk mail, discarded take out bags really the sky is the limit. SO I hope this video and Blog post encourages you to think about things you have on hand BEFORE you head to the trash can.
